Confessions of a Hopeless Romantic

The other day, my friends and I discussed about girls they've been with, or had "relations" with. Awkward as it may seem, I was the only virgin in the group, and I had to say I was embarrassed and sort of frustrated that I still hadn't known a woman intimately. I even had offers from friends who said they will buy me a hooker or set me up with a whory girl, yet I declined on all offers. How pathetic did they think I was for them to offer such things? When has the world become so obsessive about sex? So many people are dying to have sex and Yes, I'm one of them! But when I do have sex, I want it to be special. I want it to be love. Not some cheap one night stand with a walking STD.

Nowadays we see sex everywhere and we should! Sex sells. We see it on TV, hear it on the radio, and see/read it on books and magazine. Sex is the greatest media in the planet. Just because sex is spammed everywhere doesn't mean we ourselves have lost all our morals and our senses. I myself hold my morals to its true standing. My morals, you ask? No sex before love. I won't have sex with a girl unless I love her.

I have firm belief in love before sex (Yes, love. not marriage) and my morals would have helped out a friend of mine in high school if only he had followed it. His name was Pedro and he was a pretty outgoing guy - a football player and one of the in-crowd. In his senior year he went to a party, got drunk and had sex with some girl, whom he had no interest in. Couple days later the girl came up to him and said she was pregnant. When his parents found out they forced him to marry her. So Pedro married a girl whom he had no interest in, not to mention love.

I personally hold myself at a higher value than my estimate worth. I am not a virgin because I can't get a date or have a different sexual preference. I am a virgin because I am a romantic. Yes, a romantic. I want my first time to be with a girl I love, a person I truly care about. I also appear to be an obsessive psycho or a very devoted person. Why? Because I once loved a girl with all my heart but after I moved away, I wasn't able keep in contact with her. Yet my love for her still remains to this day. It's been years since I last saw her, but I hope that one day we could be together again.

As most, if not all of you know, hope doesn't keep you warm at night. I'll always hold a special place in my heart for the girl of my past. But I can't wait forever nor can I search forever. So I am looking for someone to love, someone to fall in love with. If by some chance I run into her before I find someone else, I'll see if there can be something between us. But I will not count on meeting her and look for someone else for now. I want people to know that I'm not here to judge people and their morals. I'm not here for a moral debate, all I want is for people to find love wherever they may find it.

So I am looking for someone to love. Someone to fall in love with. If by some chance I run into her before I find someone else, I'll see if there can be something between us. But I will not count on meeting her and will look for someone else for now. I want people to know that I'm not here to judge people and their morals. I'm not here for a moral debate. All I want is for people to find love wherever they may find it.
